Schulte Property
We drove out to the Schulte property in Hermann on Sunday to celebrate David's Grandpa's 80 Birthday and a few graduations as well. I was a little worried about hauling a 9 month old out in 90 degree weather but it was actually really nice. There was plenty of shade and breeze so it felt really nice out. Benjamin was a trooper, I'm beginning to think he's going to be an outdoor kinda kid. Which is fine with me, I'd rather play outside with him any day!

The New Do
I've been going back and forth for a long time whether or not to cut my hair. I finally gained enough courage to make the hair appt. and here are the results...
I'm extremely happy :) And I think I found a permanent hair stylist. I LOVE LOVE LOVE her!
It was so funny when I walked in the door. I still had my sunglasses on and Benjamin looked at me like "who the heck are you" I think it took him a minute to realize it was me!

Dear Channel 5 Weather Team
I'm very upset with you right now. You told me it was going to storm ALL weekend. And not just the normal scattered T-storm business you've been giving us lately. I'm talking full blown rain all day and with an 80% chance I believed you and therefore cancelled the BBQ we were going to have on Saturday. But was there any rain on Saturday? NO! It was sunny and hot all dang day.
Oh well...I guess we still managed to have fun :)
Benjamin tested out the baby pool. Even though you can't see them because of his big ol gut-Benjamin has on some pretty snazzy speedo's (Thanks Grandma Sue!)
Then we drove over to the new 370 Truman park. It's not much to see right now but it seems to have potential.
So I guess this weekend wasn't a total bust. But I'm still extremely disappointed about the BBQ :( I guess we'll have to plan another one soon!

Happy Mothers Day
I was sort of expecting some sort of medal or trophy today, but I guess I'll settle for the fabulous necklace Benjamin and David gave me this morning :)
It's engraved on the back "Happy First Mothers Day" and I absolutely love it! I also was treated to breakfast this morning with my Mom and Grandma. It's funny how much a hot uninterrupted meal means to me these days.
Benjamin was a little turkey head and wouldn't look at the camera
Finally...we're both looking at the camera-it only took about 20 shots!
The awesome necklace :)

Davids weekend project
We're in the process of sprucing up the back yard. We started last year by pouring a pretty big patio and tearing down the old shed.
Now we're getting ready to build a pergola above the mini patio the shed used to sit on and add some landscaping here and there.
David did such a good job this weekend so I want to show it off :)
Oh So Pretty
I first laid eyes on these beauties over 8 months months ago, unfortunately the price tag and I didn't agree so I fought back the tears and painfully put the shoes back on the shelf. I've never been able to forget about them though. I think I even had a dream about these shoes...they're just that good! I was causally walking through the shoe section at TJ Maxx earlier when a bright light was shining in the middle of the shoe section. As I took a step closer I thought to myself-could it really be? Not only were my dream shoes right in front of me but this time I strongly agreed with the price tag! I couldn't believe there was only one pair and they just happened to be in my size. So I'd like to dedicate this post to TJ Maxx :)
